John O’Flaherty-Lynch is a prominent Irish contemporary abstract artist, educator, and sports enthusiast. Born in Derry City in 1979, he currently resides in Belfast, where he balances his fine art practice with a long-standing career in education.

He openly states that he is "not afraid of colour," opting for unexpected, high-contrast, and emotionally resonant colour fields—such as neon pinks, deep violets, and intense, clean blues—to depict valleys, forests, or skylines.
