We don’t think you need a special day to shower the ones you love with thoughtful Irish gifts. We have enough Irish craft jewellery, local art, handmade treats and more to buy them something for every day of the year!

However, Valentine’s Day is a great excuse to pick out something really special. If you’re looking for something created right on your doorstep by gifted artisans, browse our Irish gift guide below and be inspired this Valentine’s.

Irish craft jewellery

It’s hard to pick just a few when all our Irish made jewellery is so stunning. We’ll give a go though - no better place to start than with Tanya Ireland, former owner of Painted Earth, who provides two beautiful lines of Irish jewellery for us, handmade in her studio upstairs from our shop in Newcastle, Northern Ireland. Her collection, Swings and Roundabouts, is simplistic and stylish with sleek clean lines, in gold, silver, oxidised and two-tone rhodium.

Next, take a look at Jill Graham’s bold, nature-inspired designs. The Bloom Pendant necklace features free-moving flowers of silver and rich 22ct gold, set on a textured silver dome.

Irish made jewellery is good at blending old with new, and Rowena Sheen is no different. Her cool geometric shapes in her pendants and earrings feature sustainably sourced local materials, including wood. The wood in her designs is finished with beeswax from her father’s apiary! Buy the Kandinsky drop earrings for the art connoisseur in your life.

We are one of the island’s largest stockists of Alan Ardiff jewellery. The Irish designer is well known for his unique kinetic jewellery designs in silver and gold, with fun and imaginative elements in each piece. Show them they give you butterflies with his delightful Petite Butterfly Kisses pendant. Or wear your heart on their sleeve with this beautiful Alan Ardiff Heart of Gold single heart bracelet.

McNutt of Donegal

McNutt of Donegal bring a riot of Irish made colour to the shop! With over 60 years’ experience of weaving their own designs, this brand is constantly inspired by the wild and wonderful landscapes and seascapes around them. We have recently added lots of new stock so why not take a little piece of it home for your loved one with a beautiful piece of the McNutt of Donegal Heritage Collection. A bold and beautiful cashmere wrap may be more their style, or a lambswool pashmina.

Mourne mountain gifts

If your beloved adores the rolling landscapes of our beautiful Mourne Mountains, then we have a wealth of Mourne Mountain gifts they will love as much as they love you!

Gift them a taste of home in their morning brew, with artist Piera Cirefice’s Mourne Mountain Mugs. These gorgeous enamel mugs feel sturdy in the hand and feature detailed, labelled illustrations of the mountains.

This Sun Set Mournes print was lovingly created by County Down artist Rhea Hanlon. What better Mourne Mountains gift than a dreamy landscape image bathed in colour? A beautiful addition for anyone’s home decor.

Let your loved one show the world they’re mad about the Norn Iron mountains with this stunning hand painted sign. One of a range of brilliant Northern Irish gifts from Castlewellan based husband and wife team Once Upon a Dandelion.

Stationery

If you’re shopping for someone who loves journaling, crafting the perfect to do list, or simply collecting stunning stationery, we’ve got you covered. A handmade ballpoint pen is a lovely gift. Made using traditional hand turning by adults who have a learning disability, in the Camphill Community Mourne Grange Wood Workshop.

The Muckross Bookbindery have these wonderful marbled paper handbound A5 journals, for your loved one to scribble their deepest thoughts. These lined journals come in a delightful range of colours - each design a one off.

Say it with scent

For self care that’s sustainable, treat your loved one to an Irish gift that’s handcrafted with love. They will love this luxurious lemongrass and cedarwood candle and diffuser gift set.

Based in a converted mushroom factory in rural County Down in Northern Ireland, Field Day is a small Irish company founded on a love of natural fragrance. Founder Alix has honed her craft to bring a suite of products to our shelf that will delight the most discerning noses. New in at Painted Earth, this Gather Folk tin candle combines evocative field notes of leather and smoky fireside.
