Puffin on Guard - Mounted Print
A digital print featuring the linocut of a puffin guarding it’s nest. A highlight of the summer is visiting them at the RSPB reserve on Rathlin Island to see the puffin colony. They are so distinctive with their flat-sided heads and large colourful bills. They choose a mate for life, sadly their numbers have declined dramatically over recent years.
Mounted prints are by Joanna Martin a designer and printmaker based in Co. Down. Her striking linocut images are inspired by coastal wildlife and landscapes. All Joanna's prints are designed to harmonise with each other and are often bought as sets of two or four.
Signed and printed on 140gm Tintoretto Gesso, a slightly textured matt paper. The prints are mounted in off-white card. The colours are very like the original linocuts.
